The Bennington County Regional Commission confirmed the planning process for the Landgrove Town Plan at its Feb. 19, 2026 meeting after a staff review and regional voting process. BCRC Director William Colvin announced that the plan met statutory requirements and that the confirmation received a total of 16 votes, including 11 from unique municipalities, exceeding the regional majority threshold.
Commissioner Dixie Zens moved to open the public hearing on the Landgrove Town Plan; Commissioner Gordon Black seconded. Director William Colvin told commissioners the plan had been adopted by the town on December 18, 2025 and that Landgrove requested regional confirmation on December 23, 2025. Colvin said staff distributed the evaluation tool to commissioners and the public, concluded the plan contains the required elements, and responded to questions from commissioners about the energy and land-use sections. Commissioner David McAneny moved to close the hearing; Black seconded that motion.
Colvin announced the voting results following the hearing: 16 total votes, including 11 unique municipal votes, which the commission reported as sufficient to confirm the planning process.
