Saint Croix County Fair organizers preview 2026 fair and request facility improvements

Gail Meyer, president of the Saint Croix County Fair Association, told the county board the fair is free to enter and is a significant agricultural and community event. She reported 737 exhibitors and 9,206 exhibits in 2025 and said that, as of the meeting, 748 exhibitors and 9,869 exhibits were entered for the 2026 fair. Meyer described recent investments (approximately $75,000 for bleachers and $19,000 for livestock pens), facility improvements and safety upgrades, and requested coordination with Glenwood City and the Highway Department for road resurfacing near the fairgrounds.
Savannah Breeze, the fair’s ambassador ("Ferris to the Fair"), also spoke about the fair’s educational role for youth and community engagement and invited supervisors to attend the event July 15–19. Meyer outlined goals including a restroom remodel, expanded public address capacity, and an upper‑level storage plan for long‑term facility improvements.
