County approves contract and fund orders, purchase of Grantline Road property and appointments for wastewater district hearing

Attorney Kristi Fox presented multiple county orders and resolutions for the board's consideration. Commissioners approved FCO 2025-13 (construction and review of county contracts) and FCO 2025-14 (revising the solicitation-permit fund number to 4020). They also approved FCR 2025-07 implementing a Solid Waste hiring moratorium in response to a recently passed state Senate bill and unanimously approved FCR 2025-08 to purchase 3317 Grantline Road to house the Floyd County Health Department.
Fox presented a Notice of Intent to establish a Floyd County Onsite Wastewater District and the board appointed Scott Waters as the hearing officer for the establishment process via FCR 2025-09. All motions were moved, seconded and passed unanimously during the April 15 meeting.
