Roland Lemus, regional transportation director with Southern Indiana Transit and Blue River Services, presented a request for $20,000 to continue transit service in Floyd County, noting there are currently "63 Floyd County residents that use the service." Lemus asked the commissioners to consider county support to allow continued service under the 5311 grant framework.
Commissioners asked attorneys to review the request and to check prior-year usage numbers to determine an amount more closely aligned with ridership; President Al Knable suggested tabling the request until May 6 so staff could verify the data. The motion to table passed unanimously.
