Nick Creevy, director of Building and Development Services, presented multiple contracts for county infrastructure work. The board approved a Strand engineering contract for a Highway 150 connector project totaling $393,443.50 (county share $78,750), a $215,675 DLZ Indiana contract to reconstruct Baylor Wissman Road (county share $54,194), and an HMB contract for Bridge 38 totaling $450,240 with a county share of $90,240; each motion passed unanimously.
Creevy also described a proposed $116,900 contract with United to perform a road impact fee study scoped to Highlander Point and Edwardsville growth districts. Committee member Dale Mann questioned whether a narrow scope would recoup costs and commissioners asked United to correct a jurisdiction reference (to Floyd County rather than Marion County). Commissioners tabled the impact-fee contract for further review and asked for an update in July or August.
