Sheriff wins approval for pension analysis contract and TLO agreement; proclamations supported

Sheriff Steve Bush asked the board to approve three proclamations—National Public Safety Telecommunications Week (April 13–19), National Correction Officers Week (May 4–10) and Peace Officers Memorial Day (May 11–15)—and the commissioners indicated their support.
Bush also presented a new fee schedule and contract renewal with Goelzer Group for periodic pension-fund analysis. "The Merit Board decided to stay with Goelzer. The fees have come down," the sheriff said. Commissioner Frank Loop moved to accept the Goelzer contract; Jason Sharp seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board also approved a TLO agreement after an insertion above the signature line reading "Floyd County, Indiana for."
