The Fond du Lac School District Board adopted the Wisconsin academic standards across subject areas for the 2026–27 year, as required by state law. Administration explained that, under Wisconsin Act 55, districts must approve and communicate the standards annually; the district is not proposing any local changes this year and will post the standards to the district website.
Mr. Groves told the board the district piloted and reviewed state standards materials and that the annual approval is administrative and required. Board members had no objections and the motion carried unanimously. Staff said the adoption is procedural but ensures families know which standards guide instruction for each grade and subject.
