Amy Smith, Ag & Natural Resources Educator with the University of Wyoming Extension, asked the Commission for an update on increasing outdoor lighting at the Extension Office and on splitting an electric meter that is currently shared with Weed & Pest into two separate meters.
Shelbie Hanlon, the 4‑H Youth Development Educator, reported that many 4‑H activities are ramping up for spring. The Extension's submitted report listed current 4‑H enrollment at 236 and volunteer enrollment at 48 and included a schedule of classes and practices through late February. The Commission moved to accept the Extension report.
The Extension report included specific upcoming programming dates (private pesticide applicator classes and 4‑H practices) and a request to separate the City of Torrington meter from Weed & Pest; no funding decision for the meter or lighting changes was recorded in the minutes.
