Fairgrounds General Manager Stephanie Lofink told the commissioners that strong winds caused building damage and a large tree blew down at the Goshen County Fairgrounds. Despite the damage, the Fair Board announced the county fair dates as July 24 through Aug. 2 and selected a theme of "250 Years of Grit and Glory." Commissioner Aaron Walsh moved to accept the fair report and the motion passed.
Chairman Michael McNamee told the commission an unexpired Fair Board term became available after Ed Kimes stepped down because of scheduling conflicts; three people have expressed interest in filling the vacancy.
