The board voted to reappoint Doug McMinn and Hailey Holmes to the Economic Development Authority; the motion passed on roll-call vote. Staff requested the reappointments to ensure continuity as their terms expire Jan. 30.
Separately, planning staff said two members of the Wetlands Advisory Board recently stepped down, creating vacancies. Staff noted an active alternate, Mike Endorff, has participated at meetings and is willing to move to a permanent position, but supervisors expressed concern about district representation (elevating the alternate would leave some districts with double representation). The board agreed to discuss the matter further and table immediate action to allow members time to consult and ensure balanced district representation.
Supervisors were asked to encourage citizen interest in boards and commissions and reminded that some appointments require formal letters or correspondence to the receiving agency.
