Business Manager Marie Knight told the board that with only a couple months of actuals, her early estimate indicates a healthy ending fund balance. She cautioned that after the September payroll and encumbrances the numbers will be more precise. "At this early stage she is able to estimate a healthy ending fund balance," the minutes state.
Knight described the district's move to QuickBooks Online to allow credit-card payments for registration and, later, for concessions and gate fees. She said the district is preparing a Student Body Manual and will provide training to staff and coaches to reduce the risk of fraud or mishandling of funds; an updated student body account list will be presented in October.
