County forms Road Impact Fee Advisory Committee; three planning commissioners named

Zoning Director Rothe told the board on March 4 that the county is forming a Road Impact Fee Advisory Committee to advise on road impact fee policy and implementation. Rothe asked for two volunteers from the Planning Commission to join Justin Stucky and staff; Commissioners Justin Stucky, Daryl Regier and Joni Embree‑Meinders were identified to serve on the special advisory committee, which will include representatives from each township.
Rothe said the first scheduled meeting for the advisory committee is March 27 at 6:30 p.m. The committee will review impact fee methodology, township representation and coordination with county road planning. No public comment was recorded during the zoning director’s update.
The advisory committee formation is an early step toward evaluating or updating any road impact fee policies; staff will bring recommendations to the Planning Commission as the committee completes its review.
