Planning and Zoning Director Karen Rothe presented background material; applicant Mr. Lara described his operation and said he wants to keep the property orderly. The board found the application met the local conditional-use criteria often referenced as the "Golden Rules."
Board members approved the permit with recommended conditions: verification of a dealer's license if required by state law and proof of liability insurance, a limit of four vehicles on the property, mandated disposal of oils, fuels and batteries at a hazardous-waste facility, a prohibition on storing salvage or junk, screening of dumpsters from the road and neighbors, and compliance with county sign and sanitary codes. Joni Embree-Meinders made the motion to approve CUP24-08, seconded by Daryl Regier; the motion passed unanimously.
