Vernonia SD tells board it is in compliance with Division 22 standards; OAR report due Nov. 1

Superintendent Jim Helmen told the Vernonia School District Board that his review of district policies, procedures and standards indicates Vernonia is in compliance with Division 22 requirements. He noted the yearly OAR 581-022-2305 District Assurances of Compliance with Public School Standards report is due on Nov. 1 and that the district will submit the required assurances to the Oregon Department of Education.

Helmen said his review covered procedures and policy alignment with state rules. Board members did not raise objections or request changes during the meeting. The compliance determination is procedural: it affirms the district has the required assurances in place and signals the district will file the required report by the statutory deadline.
