Councilor David Voltz asked about regulations for laser‑source lighting; Findlay said staff proposed clarifying language to permit holiday light projectors on private property provided the projection does not extend beyond the property boundary.
The council gave Ordinance No. 599 its first reading by title and voted unanimously (5‑0). The changes are intended to standardize measurement (lumens) and align public lighting with current energy‑efficient technology.
