The Fort Bragg Unified School District board approved salary increases for the superintendent on an oral recommendation presented at the meeting. The board president read that he "recommend[s] that superintendent receive a 5% salary increase, which is commensurate with the average increase approved for other FBSUSD certificated staff on 10/16/2025," with the raise effective July 1, 2025. He also read that the superintendent should receive a 2% step increase for 2026–27, effective July 1, 2026.
Trustees moved and seconded the motion to adopt the recommendation and conducted a roll-call vote; the board confirmed the motion carried. The recommendation included resulting annual salary figures for each year as read into the record by the board president. The board did not record additional conditions attached to the increases during the meeting. The meeting record shows the matter was handled as an action item and approved by the board; no public comment on the salary recommendation was made prior to the vote.
