The Osceola County Board of Supervisors appointed Jerry Helmers as Supervisor Chairman for 2026 and Jeff Loring as Supervisor Vice‑Chairman for 2026 during its Jan. 2 meeting in Sibley. Mike Schulte moved to appoint Helmers, and LeRoy DeBoer seconded; the motion carried with all members voting in favor.
The board immediately followed with a motion by Jayson Vande Hoef, seconded by Helmers, to appoint Jeff Loring as vice‑chair for 2026; "All vote aye. Motion carried." The board recorded that Jeff Loring, Mike Schulte, Jayson Vande Hoef, LeRoy DeBoer and Jerry Helmers were present and that there were no absences.
