During informational reports, county staff highlighted several community updates: Greene County will be an early participant in a Jaunt ride-booking pilot to provide on‑demand trips along the 29 and 33 corridors; flyers for the service were placed on the county table. Staff also described a grant that will fund training for local contractors to perform energy-efficiency inspections and unlock further homeowner grant funds.
Staff asked for help recruiting volunteers for a range of advisory boards (zoning appeals, social services, tourism, aging, agriculture and others) and promoted upcoming events including Sunsets on Main and the June 6 Black Bear Festival. "So if you're interested in that, please, take a look," Miss Shaffer told attendees, encouraging participation.
