Chris Crockett summarized a multi‑month review of the county's workers' compensation options and explained notice and rescission deadlines under the interlocal agreement with UCIP. Crockett said the county could rescind the earlier termination notice within a 30‑day window to remain in WCF through the joint purchase program.
Commissioner Bollos moved "to rescind the notice of termination to USIP," and Commissioner Jim Harvey seconded. "All those in favor, please say aye," the chair said; the motion carried by voice vote and the chair stated, "It has been rescinded." The board concluded that the information gathered by HR and the attorney's office supported staying in the USIP joint purchase arrangement for now.
No further action was taken; staff and HR will continue to advise commissioners on insurance options as needed.
