Commissioners approve ordinance supporting Weber Fire District annexation into Cache County areas

"This is a second reading of an ordinance that would just let Cache County know and the Weber Fire District know that Weber County is fine with the fire district annexing portions of Cache County into its boundaries to provide service," Crockett said. He noted a statutory process the fire district must follow and that the final decision rests with the Weber Fire District's board.
Commissioner Bollos moved to approve ordinance 2026‑14; Commissioner Jim Harvey seconded and the ordinance passed on a roll‑call vote with affirmative responses and the chair declared the motion carried. The county's action affirms support but does not itself complete the statutory annexation process.
