County honors five employees in 'Winning in Weber' awards

Kathy Black described supporting multidisciplinary teams at the Children's Justice Center and said she prepares lunches for staff to support team cohesion. "I've worked there 24 years," she said.
Stacy Cornell, from the elections office, thanked her elections team and commissioners for their support. Another recipient said Weber County Animal Services achieved no‑kill status in 2025 and is working toward no‑kill for 2026, describing staff and volunteer contributions to that outcome.
The ceremony included presentations, photographs and brief remarks from the winners highlighting teamwork and long public‑service careers; no board action beyond recognition was required.
