Alicia Melgosa was presented for winning the "I Believe in You" award and for acceptance into a UC Davis program for students with intellectual disabilities; she spoke about perseverance and urged others not to give up. Board members celebrated both honorees and posed for photos; the president announced a short recess and refreshments following the recognitions.
