The presiding officer told the court the county is resubmitting paperwork for Category B emergency repair reimbursements and is preparing applications for Category C permanent repairs and Section 404 mitigation projects. "The deadline for the submission of those proposals will be 2PM on March 18, with a review, scoring, and a proposed selection of a vendor at our March 25 meeting," he said. The court voted to publish the RFQ; the motion carried.
The judge noted a combined set of roughly $3,400,000 in projects across the county and in the cities of Gatesville and Copperas Cove pending release of funds. Commissioners discussed that personnel changes in grant management have required reworking submissions and that success depends on FEMA’s processing timeline.
Next steps: staff will publish the RFQ, accept proposals through March 18 at 2:00 PM, and bring scoring and a recommended selection back to the court for its March 25 meeting.
