The Fresno County Board of Education voted to approve a material revision from Big Picture Educational Academy that will allow the charter’s elementary campus to relocate from 2811 Mariposa Street to 1626 West Princeton Avenue. Dr. Jeffrey Hunt presented the Charter Committee’s review, noting a site visit and an analysis of facilities and fiscal implications before recommending the board approve the revision for the petition term 07/01/2025–06/30/2027.
Stephanie Hinton, representing Big Picture Educational Academy, thanked the county’s review team and said the move will provide improved, dedicated spaces for students. "This relocation brings vital improvements that directly elevate our program and support our kiddos' well-being," Hinton told the board. After receiving questions from trustees, the board approved the material revision by roll-call vote and then approved Amendment No. 2 to the memorandum of understanding to reflect the elementary-site change. Staff said the charter will return next month with an academic progress and program update per conditions in the renewal MOU.
