The Town Administrator told the Board the Advisory Budget Committee chair had resigned after five years of service. She said the active membership now includes School Board member Kathy Gary, Selectman Chris Shipp, and Joe Adams, and at least one volunteer application has been received. The Board discussed prior concerns about participation and access to information and directed that a joint meeting be arranged with the School Board and superintendent to discuss the committee's charge and membership.
Bovill also updated the Board on operational items: rollout of a new phone system to town facilities, arrival of a new bucket truck with the old truck and other items planned for Municibid advertising, completion of pole barn site work with foundation work starting soon, ongoing work with Rethink Local on the wage classification study, and the mailing next week of new value letters from Assessing with dates for informal hearings on property values. The next regular Selectmen's meeting was set for August 4, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
