Nemaha County Planning Commission elects officers for 2026, approves agenda and minutes

The Nemaha County Planning Commission approved the evening agenda and the Dec. 18, 2025 minutes, then conducted elections for its 2026 officers and adjourned.
Commissioner Jelayne Clark moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Commissioner Kip Reeves; the motion passed with all ayes recorded. Commissioner Eli Davidson moved to approve the Dec. 18, 2025 minutes; Deb Heidzig seconded and the minutes were approved by unanimous vote.
Elections for 2026 officers followed. Eli Davidson nominated Deb Heidzig for president; nominations were closed and the roll call was Davidson (aye), Clark (aye), Heidzig (abstain), Reeves (aye), Oestmann (aye). The motion carried; Heidzig was elected President for 2026.
Davidson nominated Jelayne Clark for vice president; after nominations were closed, the roll call was Davidson (aye), Reeves (aye), Heidzig (aye), Clark (abstain), Oestmann (aye). The motion carried and Clark was elected Vice President for 2026.
Clark nominated Darren Oestmann for secretary; the roll call was Clark (aye), Davidson (aye), Heidzig (aye), Reeves (aye), Oestmann (nay). The motion carried and Oestmann was elected Secretary for 2026.
Commissioner Clark moved to adjourn at 8:07 p.m.; Commissioner Davidson seconded and the motion carried with all ayes. The commission scheduled its next meeting for Feb. 26 at 6:00 p.m.
