Council approves new Domino’s victualing license for 72 North Main Street

The Burrillville Town Council voted to grant a new victualing (food service) license to SNL Pizza Inc., doing business as Domino’s Pizza, for 72 North Main Street (Assessor’s Map 158, Lot 072). The action followed a public hearing on the application during the council’s Nov. 17 special meeting.

Bill Mohan, a licensing and permitting consultant for SNL Pizza Inc., told the council the franchise supports local schools and community activities and said construction is expected to be finished around Dec. 16. “We expect to be finished with construction around the December 16,” Mohan said, adding the company is arranging a required walkthrough with state inspectors in mid-December to complete licensing steps. Council members asked no substantive questions during the hearing and closed the public comment period before calling the motion to grant the license, which passed by voice vote.

The council’s motion to approve the new license did not list additional stipulations beyond the standard licensing requirements the clerk’s office outlined earlier in the meeting: applicants must provide a certificate of good standing from the state division of taxation, evidence of payment of town taxes, proof of compliance with state and local building and fire codes, a Department of Health certification, staff alcohol-service training documentation and a certificate of insurance.
