The county trapper presented the 2024 annual report to the court, listing varmint removals and an estimated damage total after migrating records to a computerized system. The trapper said the computerized recordkeeping revealed new damage estimates that total roughly $420,000.
"That's pretty much it for 2024...I have an estimated damage report of about $420,000 worth of damage," the trapper (Darren) said. Commissioners discussed whether the trapper should report quarterly or annually; the court agreed that an annual wrap-up was acceptable but left open the option of quarterly appearances if needed.
