Council advances Clark Street west‑side sidewalk design; asks Pioneer to continue planning

Representatives Dustin Conroy and Nathan Bischoff of Pioneer Surveying & Engineering presented design plans, cost estimates and bid documents for the proposed west‑side Clark Street sidewalk replacement. The presentation covered construction phasing, methods to maintain business access during construction, fencing, underground utility coordination and existing concrete conditions.

Staff noted the project qualifies for the City’s small works procurement process. Councilor Ben Altman moved to have Pioneer Engineering continue working on the project; Councilor Ken DeGrange seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Councilors discussed timing and coordination with property owners and utilities and directed staff to proceed with solicitation planning under the small‑works rules.
