Coryell County approves resolution supporting Victims of Crime Act grant application

“This is one step that we have to check off…we're asking for a little over a $140,000 from the government on this, and we'll have a 20% cash match,” Brandy Rhodes said as she described the application deadline and matching requirement. Rhodes asked the court to approve the county’s resolution certifying support for the grant; Commissioner Matthews moved to approve and Commissioner Taylor seconded the motion, which carried.
The court’s action authorizes staff to proceed with submission of the application by the stated deadline. No amendment or alternative funding source was recorded during the discussion.
