Volunteers plan 250th anniversary activities; Historical Society to coordinate rededication

Andrew Whipple reported the volunteer planning group met Dec. 4 to discuss options for the town's 250th anniversary, including a proposed logo, informational kiosks to guide visitors to historic sites on Isle La Motte, and working with the Historical Society on a rededication of Burying Point Yard in August. The group is researching grant opportunities and other income sources to reduce event costs.
Whipple said planning discussions will continue and the next meeting is scheduled for Jan. 8 at 6:45 p.m. via Zoom. The Selectboard received the update and no formal actions were recorded at the Dec. 17 meeting.
