Selectboard outlines culvert RFPs, signage and road classification review

Selectboard members reported progress on multiple road-related projects. Three culvert locations were identified for repair work: two expected to be grant-funded and one to be funded locally; RFPs for the 2026 projects will be issued after Jan. 1. Joe Deller said the mapping for the FY'27 Maple Trees grant has been submitted.
The board also discussed storage of road signs in two empty sheds at the town office and cataloguing replacements; Road Commissioner Robin Gutierrez reported additional delineator placements on Main St. and noted one beneficial location on New Road. Chair Peter Brzozowy raised that Lighthouse Point Road and Lockerby Lane are classified Class 3 but may be more properly Class 4 because they are not wide enough for Class 3 standards; members discussed the declassification process and necessary upgrades.
