Selectboard approves Liquid Stone quote to restore town meeting room floor ahead of town meeting

The Isle La Motte Selectboard voted to pursue a contract with Liquid Stone to replace flooring in the town meeting and voting room damaged by the March flood. Chair Peter Brzozowy moved for the contract and Pat Treckman seconded; the motion carried. Karen Brunner reported the quoted price for just the town meeting/voting room, as broken out from a larger Elite Construction quote, was $18,352.45 plus the cost to remove the old flooring.
Members said epoxy flooring is the longest-lasting option (quotes included warranties up to 35 years) and the Flood Group recommended finishing that room first so town meeting could be held in the usual location. Liquid Stone offered phased work to complete the remainder of the building one room at a time to limit disruption to town operations.
