Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the Brightspeed Enterprise contract and Commissioner Taylor seconded. The motion carried with the court voting in favor. Staff said execution of the contract would allow Brightspeed to begin engineering and that the vendor had committed to expedite work once the signed contract and engineering approvals are in place; staff emphasized that physical connection and full transition would depend on engineering review and scheduling.
