At the end of the meeting staff reported several project updates and grant items. The heritage survey has been completed, the tribes reviewed it and it was submitted to the state archaeological department for final acceptance, and staff expects a final bill and reimbursement within the next week or two. Staff also reported that the SIP grant work is essentially complete and monitoring by VISTA Oregon has proceeded; they expect about $20,000 associated with that grant.
Infrastructure updates included Silver West doing field elevations of sewer lines in Hemlock and the water‑meter inventory moving forward after additional drawings were requested from Civil West. Councilors asked for better contractor coordination and for staff to keep the council informed when contractors perform field work on city utilities.
