The Warrenton-Hammond School District board voted unanimously to approve a swim cooperative agreement with the Seaside School District that allows Warrenton High student athletes to participate on Seaside's swim team and use the shared pool. The motion, moved and seconded during the action-items portion of the meeting, passed with no objections.
Superintendent Goodall described the arrangement as routine for sports that rely on off-campus facilities. “Obviously, we're sharing a pool,” Goodall said, noting that the agreement mirrors past cooperative arrangements and requires AD sign-off. Board members asked clarifying questions about transportation and ongoing discussions for other sports that use off-campus venues; administration said conversations will continue with athletic staff and contractors.
