Preschool enrollment half full; WIC and OHP enrollment event set for April 24

Preschool Director Megan Barber told the board that preschool enrollment is roughly half full for the 2026–2027 school year and highlighted classroom activities including garden planting and an egg-hatching project. Barber said a grant has been written to support Kinder transition activities.
School nurse Beth Durbin announced a supported WIC enrollment event at the elementary school on April 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., which will also include the opportunity to sign up for Oregon Health Plan coverage. Durbin also said Mid-Columbia Bus and the Elks Lodge are handling transportation for a May 20 North County Rendezvous/ODHS Office of Self-Sufficiency event featuring some 30 community partners.
