During the reports section of the April 16 meeting, Preschool Director Megan Barber described classroom work on life cycles and habitats, a ‘‘Mad Hatter’’ tea party, ongoing parent-teacher conferences through May and a Family Game Night on May 5 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. She also announced a field trip to the ECEC butterfly pavilion.
High School Principal Chelsea Ross noted April is National Poetry Month and described student-led conferences and participation in Operation Prom Night with neighboring schools. Ross also reported that Jannelle Wilde received a Fund for Teachers Scholarship to travel to New Zealand for forest and endangered species research. On behalf of School Nurse Beth Durbin, Superintendent Brian Berry reported a WIC enrollment and OHP sign-up event scheduled for April 24 (9:00 AM–3:30 PM) and that the Advantage Dental Van will be on site the same day from 9:00 AM to noon.
