The Okmulgee Board of Education entered executive session at 5:38 PM on March 26, 2025 pursuant to OKLA. STAT. tit. 25 § 307(B) to interview and discuss potential candidates for Vacant Board Seat #4. The minutes list those present in executive session as Leroy Parker, Vickie Jones, Krystal Bohannon, Superintendent LuVona Copeland and candidate Rod Weimer.
After returning to open session at 6:05 PM, Ms. Vickie Jones read the required statement of compliance with executive session record-keeping. Under agenda item 6A, President Leroy Parker moved and Ms. Vickie Jones seconded a motion to not appoint Rod Weimer to the vacant seat. The recorded vote was Aye: Leroy Parker, Vickie Jones; Abstain: Krystal Bohannon. The motion carried.
