After WCCA briefing, commissioners agree to send letters opposing Worland TAF removal

Commissioner Tom Ryan briefed the board on the Wyoming County Commissioners Association meeting he and Chairman Bob Aguiar attended, including bill reviews and regional meetings. During later business, Nate Messenger, the fixed base operator (FBO) for Worland Municipal Airport, asked the commissioners to approve letters opposing the removal of the Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF) for Worland. Messenger explained the TAF’s benefit to Hot Springs County and said Riverton and Cody TAFs would not be as accurate for local weather conditions. Commissioners voted to sign letters in opposition and send them to National Weather Service Headquarters and the Weather Forecast Office; Commissioner Ryan moved the motion and Commissioner Galovich seconded.
