The Chehalis School District board unanimously adopted three policy revisions on Feb. 17: BP 2170 (Career and Technical Education), BP 3143 (Notification and Dissemination of Information about Student Offenses and Notification of Threats of Violence or Harm), and BP 6022 (Minimum Fund Balance).
Each policy adoption was approved by a recorded motion (Mrs. Hamilton moved to adopt BP 2170; Mr. LeDuc seconded) and passed 5-0. The board also approved first readings of BP 6212 (Personnel Credit Card) and BP 6511 (Staff Safety); those items will return for final approval at a subsequent meeting as required by policy-adoption procedures.
The minutes do not include the text changes but record the motions and unanimous votes. The adoptions alter the district’s formal policy manual in areas that cover CTE instruction, notification procedures around student offenses and threats, and the district’s minimum fund-balance policy.
