City Administrator Tonya Wallace reviewed the city’s first-quarter 2026 financials and provided an operations and project update. She reported that the city hired a new garbage truck driver and scheduled an interview for the water/sewer position, and that utility operations have been busy.
Wallace said the city received concept designs for a skate park, that a new well screen is in place and capped while engineering and bidding preparations continue, and that the civic center wall has been prepped for a mural. She also told council that the city submitted a grant application for a splash pad, is working on a Main Avenue tree-replacement project, and plans to launch a pilot food-truck program.
