Lowell approves LCOG managed‑services IGA; hosted Office 365 to cut per‑user costs

City Administrator Max Baker presented an intergovernmental agreement with the Lane Council of Governments (LCOG) for FY 2025–26 to provide data‑server hosting, internet, backup and data‑storage services. Baker said the cost is slightly lower than the prior year and that moving to LCOG’s hosted Office 365 will save approximately $7 per user per month compared with the previous provider.
Councilor Tim Stratis moved to approve the IGA and Councilor Jimmy Murray seconded; the council voted unanimously to authorize the agreement. Baker said not all 13 Lane County cities participate in LCOG IT services, noting larger cities may maintain their own IT staff or use other vendors.
