Burrillville council approves three-year contract with police union

"This is really important contract and important to keep our police department moving in the right direction," one councilor said, thanking colleagues who worked on the negotiations. Another councilor said the town sought a balanced agreement that supports officers without unduly burdening the town’s finances.
The council moved and seconded the authorization and approved it by voice vote; members indicated appreciation for the town’s public-safety workforce and the negotiation process.
