The Isle La Motte Selectboard on Nov. 19 reviewed previously submitted plumbing bids for repairs related to water damage in the Town Office and discussed a proposal to epoxy the cafeteria floor so the room can be used for Town Meeting.
Chair Peter Brzozowy said two plumbing bidders submitted proposals but the board requested clarifications; "They will have until December 2nd to respond to the request," he said. Brzozowy also presented a Liquid Stone quote to pour an epoxy floor for the cafeteria: $19,345 if tile removal and disposal are included or $17,520 without tile removal. The board did not authorize immediate work; members agreed to wait for clarified bids and additional cost details before deciding.
The board noted the plumbing procurement will follow the usual review process and that any work affecting meeting space availability could affect Town Meeting logistics. The plumbing bid deadline and the epoxy quote will return to a future agenda so the board can act after receiving clarified bids and any additional contractor information.
