CDA staff reviewed program outcomes tied to the Local Affordable Housing Aid (LAHA) and other supports. Allison Scribe said the 2025 down-payment assistance program helped 19 households become homeowners and provided program-level statistics including average household size (2.4), average income (just over $78,000), and average purchase price (about $321,000). She said homes purchased spanned nine of the county's eleven cities.
Scribe and other staff also summarized a rental assistance program (launched Feb. and closed April 2026) that expended just over $163,000 to help 64 households, with an average household income just over $31,000 and average assistance of just under $2,500. Bridgeman described a senior rehab program launching fall 2026 in partnership with Rebuilding Together Minnesota with deferred loans up to $30,000, no interest and forgiveness at 10% per year over 10 years if the homeowner remains in the home.
