High School Principal Chelsea Ross reported that the district received a $50,000 grant for its Career and Technical Education (CTE) program from the Ford Family Foundation. Ross also noted rainwater collection measures to support greenhouses during the drought, culinary class activities, and several scholarship awards for seniors including one Ford Family Scholarship.
Superintendent Brian Berry said the Grand Stand Project is scheduled to begin on May 25. Berry also reported that the district's Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) paperwork had been completed and approved through 2030, and that a Summer Learning Grant application submitted by Hanna Drennen was approved and ranked second out of 143 applications. Austin Buchert reported that trusses were inspected and found in good condition, with a recommendation for 5-year annual inspections.
