Yoncalla reports $1.62M in receipts, 10‑student enrollment drop and $17,600 tribal donation

At the Nov. 20 board meeting, Business Manager Kelly LaRoque told the Yoncalla School District Board that current receipts are $1,621,709, representing 28% of the district budget for the fiscal year.
LaRoque provided an overview of revenues and expenditures for October 2025 and said the district is monitoring preliminary communications from the Oregon Department of Education about possible adjustments to state-funded programs for the 2025–2027 biennium. Superintendent Brian Berry also reported that student enrollment has dropped by 10 students, primarily due to families moving out of the district.
Berry said the district received a $17,600 donation from the Cow Creek Tribe to provide food boxes for district families, and that donated shoes and coats will be available to families in the Yoncalla High School gymnasium on Nov. 21 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
