The School Building Committee approved a slate of professional invoices and received updates on site due diligence before scheduling a confidential executive‑session meeting on a pending purchase.
Motions to approve invoices for Tekton/Technon Architects (~$12,475.17), Langan ($5,500) for phase‑1 ESA work, Mara F. Heckerd & Associates ($3,000) for appraisal services, and Coleman Connolly ($2,226) for legal services were made, seconded and recorded on the transcript; clerk and committee members performed roll calls and the motions were recorded as passing unanimously. The committee repeatedly instructed staff to finalize paperwork so those invoices could be distributed to the SBC records.
Scott Feldman reported that phase‑1 due‑diligence work, including appraisals and ESAs for the candidate parcels, had been completed and uploaded to the shared file; geotechnical work and a septic evaluation were being scheduled with town staff and the local health department for the coming work days. The committee asked to hold a special, executive‑session meeting Thursday, July 30 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss purchase and sale negotiations and appraisals in confidence prior to acting at the next full meeting.
