Union City schedules zoning public hearing, backs PennDOT grant and lists upcoming community events

Borough Manager Cindy Wells told council the next meeting is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 16, 2024 at 6:30 PM and that a public hearing will be advertised twice as required for an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance; council will also vote on an amendment to the Parking Ordinance at that meeting.
Wells said the borough will send a letter of support for a PennDOT Charging & Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program application along the U.S. Route 6 corridor. She also announced a meeting for council members to review health insurance plans on Sept. 25, 2024, free Community Emergency Response Team training on Sept. 27–29, 2024, and the UPMC Hamot–Erie County Firefighters Association Safety Awards Dinner on Sept. 27, 2024.
